Jacques Adnet Style Leather And Brass Pipe Stand – Stands Mid-Century Modern Furniture

Jacques Adnet was a furniture designer known for his mirrors, lamps, chairs, and tables. Each piece was designed with the clean lines and simple forms of an unadorned Art Deco style, and subsequently rendered in glass, metal, leather, or wood. This 1960s pipe stand, done in Adnet’s style, is a rectangular leather-wrapped plaque mounted with shaped brass brackets for holding pipes for each smoke of the day: morning, afternoon, and evening, as labeled in French. A relic from a time when smoking was far more prevalent, this artifact would make a handsome addition to a gentleman’s lounge or office.
